WordPress Developer

Employment Type: Contract, Freelance
Compensation: base salary with bonuses for exceeding targets


Our development team are required to wear many hats. From custom-theme generation to IDX integration to theme implementation to coding—you’ll need to do it all. We need someone who has at least 2 years experience with WordPress, and who keeps up to date on all the newest plugins (we expect you to make suggestions for emerging technologies and functionalities to add to our lineup). Above all we expect a team player. We all want to have fun—and of course build some websites along the way, so no divas.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Related College or University degree (Computer Science or technology-related) or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • A portfolio of work

  • Extensive knowledge of WordPress

  • Working knowledge of PHP, CSS and HTML

  • Superhero-like problem-solving skills

  • Troubleshooting finesse

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week

Sales Development and Account Manager

The lifeblood of any company is its salespeople. We know that, and we’re looking to build a crackerjack sales team of people that mesh with our corporate ideology. No high-pressure sales people or sleazy pushers. Our ideal candidate is a born networker as referrals are huge in real estate. We expect our sales developer and account manager to develop relationships with brokers of offices with 100+ agents.

Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of the real estate industry is a definite plus (at minimum an extreme willingness to learn)

  • A proven track record of networking success

  • A no-fear approach to cold-calling and the good ole drop-by

  • A professional demeanor for client meetings

  • A proven track record of meeting (and hopefully exceeding) sales quotas

  • Knowledge of websites, online marketing, SEO, mobile-optimization also a plus

  • Top-notch presentation skills

Content Writer

Employment type: freelance-to-permanent
Compensation: per-word/per-article

 

A content writer that would grab our attention would have a real flair for the verbal dramatic. They also have to be a chameleon. Our writers need to be able to take on the ‘voice’ of the client. As with all our family of staff—we need team players, which means if you have experience in graphic design or another element that we offer, all the better. As all our writing is for the internet, our writers must understand writing-for-the-web style and elements like SEO, call-to-actions and online marketing. You will be required to learn the necessities of writing for real estate, as this industry has more rules than you’d think—but anyone with common sense will pick this up quickly.

 

Requirements:

 

  • A post-secondary degree in Journalism or English

  • A solid portfolio of writing work

  • Google Authorship profile and ranking (ideally—if not you can build it over time)

  • At least 2 years of verifiable experience working as a content writer with a reputable company

  • Online marketing experience or education certificate

  • References (LinkedIn references from legit sources are acceptable)
